How to work out the time X hours from now
Add the hours to the current hour. If the result is 12 or more on a 12-hour clock, switch between AM and PM; if it passes midnight, it is the next day. For example, at 9:00 PM, 8 hours from now is 5:00 AM tomorrow. With minutes, add the minutes first and carry any extra 60 minutes into the hours.
On a 24-hour clock it's even simpler: add the hours and subtract 24 if the total is 24 or more. 21:00 + 8 = 29 → 29 − 24 = 05:00 the next day.
