How to convert 0900 to standard time
Military times from 0100 to 1159 are morning times, so the conversion is easy: drop the leading zero, add a colon before the last two digits and write AM. 0900 → 9:00 → 9:00 AM.
Going the other way, any AM hour from 1 to 11 just gets a leading zero (if needed) and two zeros: 9 AM = 0900.
